Role Purpose
Due to Coronavirus, the majority of our 2020 events have cancelled. However at present we are scheduled to be operating 8 of our Challenge events between September and November 2020. The Intern will support the Senior Event Manager and Director in ensuring events are executed professionally, on time, within budget and to client expectations. This will involve taking responsibility for key aspects of each event and as a result, helping to increase the attendance of individual events, increase the funds raised for charity and increase the profitability of the Company.
Key Accountabilities • Liaising with all suppliers involved with events and building and maintaining strong relationships with them. • Liaising with event day volunteers and paid staff in the lead-up to the event day. • Making necessary bookings for services and facilities required for the successful completion of events. • Sourcing and purchasing all necessary event materials in a cost efficient and timely manner. • Creating and compiling event forms and materials.
• Compiling and printing / uploading all staff event manuals • Helping to manage the event storage area (at an off-site location) and ensuring it is kept tidy and well organised. • Setting up the events on-site in the run-up to event day. • Assisting with any Marketing activity as and when required, including scheduling social media posts and designing social media campaigns. • Producing promotional materials and distributing to relevant parties. • Assisting with any other activity required by the Senior Event Manager or the Event Coordinator to ensure the successful execution of all events.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook • Full UK Driver’s Licence (preferred) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent time management • Excellent attention to detail
The role will involve travel around the UK and working during some weekends. Any weekend days worked will be rewarded with time in lieu, to be taken at a time approved by the Director.
