Luxurious Hotel, a luxurious boutique hotel in Bedford seeks an efficient and reliable person to carry out housekeeping duties of maintaining the cleanliness of guest’s rooms in orderly manner.
Responsibilities:
  • To assist with the housekeeping operation: changing bed sheets and towels, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, cleaning all surfaces in both rooms and public areas, helping out in other public areas as necessary.
  • To ensure all Guest Needs are met to the required standard and promote a positive image of the business.
  • To ensure any Guest request, outside the area of expertise, is raised immediately to the appropriate level
  • To ensureall Guests, their belongings and colleagues are treated with respect at all times
  • To liaise daily with Head Housekeeper and work within all company policies with specific reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act
Requirements:

SALARY: €21,300 to €24,100 per year depending on experience
NET SALARY: €1600 to €1750 per month (Estimated only)

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Recent practical experience at Commis level, ideally 1+ year, preparing food for some or all of banqueting, restaurant, bar and breakfast outlets
  • Displaying an obvious, genuine passion for producing high quality food
  • An ability to work in a fast paced environment, on your own and as part of a team
  • Be keen to demonstrate flair, creativity and skill in the Kitchen
  • Have a HACCP or food safety qualification
  • An ability to multitask in a fast-paced and, at times, high-volume, Kitchen environment
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To work in our Kitchens preparing food in accordance with our Banqueting, Restaurant, Bar and Breakfast menus
  • Demonstrate a tangible appetite for learning, showing interest in the work you’re doing and what is going on around you
  • Show innovation in food preparation and cooking techniques when the appropriate opportunities arise
  • In conjunction with the Executive Team, to ensure the consistent, smooth running of food service
  • To maintain a high level of food quality, endeavouring to exceed our guests’ expectations with every dish
  • Assist in ensuring effective stock control and ongoing cost management
  • Ensure that cleanliness and food safety is prioritised at all times (effective HACCP management)
